Whether you are a long-time season ticket holder...
Or this show will be your first performance with us,
Shea's Performing Arts Center is here for you!
Shea’s Performing Arts Center (Shea’s PAC) is a campus of three theaters in downtown Buffalo comprised of Shea’s Smith Theatre, Shea’s 710 Theatre, and the historic crown jewel of the Buffalo Theatre District, Shea’s Buffalo Theatre. From touring Broadway to international collaborations and local theatre productions, these venues boast varying styles of performing arts, but all of our shows are sure to please the audiences that attend.
Shea’s Buffalo Theatre is located at 646 Main Street, and is also accessible through Theatre Place next door, the Shea’s Box Office, or the Pearl Street entrance during shows.
If you are coming to see a show at one of our other theaters, the Shea’s Smith Theatre entrance is right through the Shea’s Box Office at 650 Main Street, and the Shea’s 710 Theatre is just up the street on the corner of Main and West Tupper, at 710 Main Street!
Tickets for any event at our theaters (Shea’s Buffalo, Shea’s 710, Shea’s Smith) can be purchased in-person at our Box Office or online/by phone with Ticketmaster. The Shea’s Box Office is open Monday-Friday, 10:00am – 5:00pm, and on Saturdays from 10:00am – 2:00pm to assist with all your ticketing needs. We are located directly next door to the Shea’s Buffalo Theatre at 650 Main Street.
The doors to Shea’s open 1 hour before the scheduled show-time on your ticket and the house will open approximately 30 minutes before show-time. Always double-check your ticket for the correct date, time, and theater.
The Shea’s Box Office is also open 2 hours prior to show-time (or will stay open following our usual Box Office hours that day) until after intermission.
There is street parking usually available, as well as privately-owned parking lots. Please read the signs to see where and if you need to pay for parking. If you prefer to take the NFTA-Metro to Shea’s, the nearest train station is one block south of our theater at Fountain Plaza. For our Broadway Subscribers, we have partnered with several parking lots near our theater, allowing us to offer a Parking Pass add-on to your season tickets!
Shea’s Performing Arts Center strives to be consciously accessible in all of our theaters, with some limitations due to our status as National Historic Site. Since the Shea’s Buffalo Theatre does not have an elevator, our wheelchair & companion seating is on the orchestra-level (and is available in all price points). Wheelchairs can easily enter the Shea’s Buffalo Theatre from Main Street, the Box Office, or through Theatre Place via the Pearl Street side. The Shea’s 710 and Shea’s Smith are both very wheelchair-friendly as well!
Assisted Listening Devices are available, free of charge, at all coat check locations. Please ask an usher for assistance.
ASL performances are commonly scheduled for at least one show of each Broadway production’s run. Please call the Shea’s Box Office at (716) 847-0850 to inquire for those tickets. Although our Box Office is typically a walk-up service only due to our contract with Ticketmaster, we can make exception to sell accessible seating over the phone.
The show must go on! The decision to cancel a performance is made by each show’s production company and is rarely made (unless there is a driving ban in the City of Buffalo).
If a show IS canceled, we will post an announcement on our website and our social media pages, and begin contacting our patrons immediately – so it’s important to make sure your contact information (name, email, phone number, address) are up-to-date with the Box Office when you purchase your tickets!
Unfortunately, if you happen to miss your scheduled performance, we cannot refund or exchange your tickets for another show.
When the theater is not occupied by a show (a “dark day”), Shea’s Buffalo Theatre is often reserved for private events or is already being prepared for the next production! However, that doesn’t mean our doors are closed…aside from our regular Box Office hours, the theater also offers Historic Tours and is available as a venue for rental.
Since we have to work around our busy show schedule, arrangements must be made in advance. Please contact us today to ask about tours or booking a date!
