O’Connell & Company was founded in 1995 by Buffalo award-winning actress Mary Kate O’Connell. Performing for what will now be their 25th year, O’Connell & Company has grown into one of WNY’s most respected resident theaters.

Shea's Bistro & Bar

Enjoy a prix-fixe dinner and show themed cocktail to make your evening complete. New menus are crafted for each performance using seasonal ingredients. Dinner reservations are strongly recommended for our Broadway shows, and the Bistro is also available for private rentals.

Second Generation Theatre

Second Generation Theatre was founded by University at Buffalo graduates Kristin Bentley, Arin Lee Dandes, and Kelly Copps; to encourage a new generation of theatregoers to become involved in the arts.

Second Generation Theatre

Shea’s Smith Theatre, formerly Laube’s Old Spain Restaurant, established in the year 2000. It has transformed into a viable 200 seat black box theater, hosting Off-Broadway productions, comedians, and collaborative productions with local theatre companies.

Currently, Shea’s Smith Theatre has two companies in residence: the O’Connell & Company and Second Generation Theatre, each offering a three-show season in our theater.
