The following online form is required to be filled out in order for your child to participate in this camp as it will act as a permission slip. It will only take a few moments to complete. Use the link below to fill out the form.
There will be a mandatory meeting for all parents/guardians on the first day of camp starting at 8:45am. This meeting will only last approximately 15 minutes. This is when we will review all of the information for this camp so that all students and parents are on the same page as the staff about the expectations. There MUST be a parent or guardian present for this meeting for your child to participate in this camp.
The safety of our students, patrons, performers, staff, and volunteers is our top priority, and Shea’s Performing Arts Center has put procedures and practices in place to ensure everyone’s health and safety. If your child is unwell or feeling sick, please do not send your child to camp. Please send an email to arainey@sheas.org or call 716-829-1174 and leave a message that your child will be absent. If our staff deems any student unwell at any time while on campus, a parent/guardian will be contacted, and we will ask that the child is picked up as soon as possible. The frequency of routine cleaning, sanitization, and disinfection has been increased in all areas, especially all common and high-traffic areas and often touched surfaces. Hand sanitizing stations have been placed throughout the venues.
Our staff is carefully vetted through a process that includes background checks, reference checks, and interviews. We are proud to announce that we have added the CampSafe training program to our staff requirements. As you know we have a zero-tolerance policy for abuse of any kind – physical, emotional, sexual. CampSafe is a proactive approach to child safety that provides all our staff with sexual abuse prevention training and certification.
The doors to the Shea’s Smith Theatre Bistro will open at 8:45am for morning arrival and 4:00pm for dismissal. Parking and traffic can be difficult downtown, so plan to give yourself enough time each morning and afternoon. Staff will be ready to welcome you each day. We recommend that if you arrive early, to please wait in your car until the doors are open. There will be a sign-in sheet set out each day in the lobby for students to sign in. If you wish for your child to sign themselves in and out each day, please indicate this on the online permission form.
The students will perform their original showcase on the final day of camp, Friday, August 1st, 2025, at 6:00pm at the Shea’s Smith Theatre. The students will not leave Shea’s until after the performance as we will provide dinner for them.
Please feel free to invite as many friends and family members as you would like. Recording is allowed and we encourage you to come and celebrate with us!
