This groundbreaking event is an exciting opportunity for high school students to audition for local colleges and universities with theatre and musical theatre programs—all in one day, at one location. Students will have the chance to showcase their talent in front of faculty and representatives from multiple institutions, saving time and effort while opening doors to numerous educational opportunities. Whether your passion is Musical Theatre, Acting, or Design & Production, this unified audition is your one-stop step toward pursuing a future in the performing arts.

Event Details
These auditions will take place on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, at the Shea’s Rehearsal Halls. We will also be hosting a college fair in the morning of the event for the auditionees to meet representatives from the programs and colleges that will be attending on the day prior to the auditions and learn more about their programs.

Interested students MUST complete the registration forms in order to participate. There is a $25 fee for students to audition.

Some perks of participating in this audition include:

  • One Audition, Multiple Opportunities: Perform a single audition for representatives from local esteemed colleges/universities.
  • Workshops and Panels: Learn about college programs, the audition and admission process, and tips for success in informational sessions with theatre professionals.
  • Networking Opportunities: College Fair on Friday January 31st at Shea’s. Meet faculty, admissions counselors, and other students passionate about the arts.

What To Prepare
Students interested in studying musical theatre, acting, and design & production are all invited to attend, and each have different requirements on what to prepare for this audition. Please review the breakdown of what each student should prepare below.

Musical Theatre Majors

  • 2 contrasting Musical Theatre songs. (Not to exceed 3 minutes in length combined. Note: You must bring your sheet music with you to the audition with the appropriate marks for the section(s) you are singing, an accompanist will be provided.)
  • 1 monologue from a published play. (Not to exceed 2 minutes in length.)
  • 1 dance call to be learned at the auditions.

Acting Majors

  • 2 contrasting monologues from published plays. (Not to exceed 4 minutes in length combined.)
  • 1 special skill of your choice. (Not to exceed 1 minute in length. Skills may include but are not limited to impressions, improv, playing an instrument, juggling, dance, etc.)

Design & Production Majors

  • 1 digital portfolio detailing any of your previous projects to show and talk about. (Not to exceed 3 minutes in length).
  • 1 physical example of your work to show and talk about. (Not to exceed 2 minutes in length. Examples may include but are not limited to sketches, renderings, art projects, production photos, etc.)
