Sister Helen, a world renown advocate for the abolition of the death penalty, will talk about her new memoir, River of Fire: My Spiritual Journey. She’ll share her childhood, convent, and early ministry experiences where she worked with the African-American poor who helped her understand what white privilege and institutional racism is. Sister Helen will autograph books which are available for purchase. Limited VIP tickets for the center section will also include admission to a post-lecture VIP cocktail party with Sister Helen Prejean signing autographs.
