SHEA’S IN THE HEIGHTS: HERITAGE AND CULTURE MASTER CLASS
In the Heights: Heritage and Culture brought together high school students from a variety of backgrounds and interests introducing them to a number of art forms. Students studied the history of Hispanics in America, participated in a slam poetry demonstration, and wrote and performed their own slam poetry piece for an invited audience of family and friends. The musical In The Heights served as their source material.
