Shea's News SHEA’S PERFORMING ARTS CENTER Buffalo, NY – Shea’s Performing Arts Center announces the opening of its new Intermission Lounge, 658 Main Street, on Tuesday, November 6. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled at 7 p.m. The lounge, located between the Shea’s Ticket Office and The Smith Theatre, will welcome patrons for the first time on opening night of the Broadway musical Lerner & Lowe’s Camelot at Shea’s. Intermission Lounge will serve patrons attending shows at Shea’s Buffalo Theatre and Shea’s Smith Theatre with entrances from Main Street and both theatres. It will be open two hours prior to showtime and during intermission where patrons can order drinks and tapas-style fare before a show begins. Patrons may also pre-order drinks and food and have their order ready by the time the intermission starts. The lounge is another enhancement of our patron services, said President of Shea’s Tony Conte. “By adding the Intermission Lounge, we continue to enhance the overall experience for our patrons,” he said. “I would also like to thank the vendors who donated their time and materials to make this project a reality. With the limited funding available to not-for-profit organizations today, this project could not have happened without their support.” Vendors include: Architect and Designer Kenneth Grajek; Siracuse Engineers; CBO Glass; Mader Construction; Alp Steel; Buffalo Hardwood; Dommer Construction; Metzger, Inc.; Shaw Industries; Precision Carpet Installation; Italian Marble and Granite; Carpenters Local; Dake Construction; M & T Bank; Frey Electric; Shanor Electric; Fire Safety; Flexlume Sign Corp.; Arlan Peters and Dominic DeFillipo and Dr. Bernard Wakefied.
