Shea's offers a number of internships in non-performance careers in the theatre arts including Theatre Administration, Events and Hospitality, Education and Restoration. Interns have the opportunity to gain hands-on real world experience working for a presenting theatre while acquiring skills that can be applied to careers in numerous fields.

An internship at Shea's is a great way to gain valuable work experience with a nationally recognized historic presenting theatre. Shea's internships are unpaid but we can offer references and college credit where applicable. Internships typically run September-December and January-May but can be extended upon mutual agreement between the intern and Shea's. Interns are usually interviewed and hired in August for the fall and January for the spring; however students are welcome to inquire and apply at any time of the year. A limited number of internships are available during the summer months. Those interested in a summer position should apply between March-May. The Restoration Internship is open year round.

College students are invited to apply for any available internship, while high school students have the opportunity to work in our Restoration department and can earn community service hours where applicable.
